A Case for 2D CAD in a 3D BIM World

Architosh continues its new Viewpoints series with esteemed guest contributor Tom Lazear, CEO of Archway Systems and the co-creator of the venerable VersaCAD product line. Mr. Lazear, who has double masters in engineering and an MBA from the prestigious Sloan School of Business Management argues that there is a case for 2D CAD in a 3D BIM world and encourages readers to recognize that as the market makes this big transition to BIM certain users still fair better with 2D.
